Here are some pics from this past week. We had a busy one. We went to the Bowen team outing on the Spirit of Washington dinner cruise along the Potomac River and went to our first Navy football game.

Aunt Chita comes to visit
My good friend, Amrita (or Chita as I call her) came to visit a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun just hanging out and shopping. We also went to the Kinder Farm Park Fall Harvest Festival. We met some of my mommy friends and their babies and hung out for a bit. We took a hayride, ate some good food and enjoyed a beautiful day. Aiden played in the grass for the first time too!
Halfway through the first year already?!?!
My baby is 6 months old already! Where did the time go? He has grown so much and is learning new things so quickly. At his 6 month appointment he weighed in at 17 lbs 2.2 oz and was 29.5 inches long. He is our string bean!
Here is Aiden tasting his first vegetable, Squash. I started making my own baby food and he really enjoys it. Peas were touch and go the first couple of days, but now they're not a problem at all. I've been so impressed with his willingness to try pretty much anything I give him. I will say that he wasn't a fan of avocado and I can't fault him because neither are we.

From Missouri to Indy
After our visit at Stephanie's we flew to Indianapolis for Labor Day weekend. Jameson and Bedia drove in and met us. We stayed at my parents house while they drove to Missouri for their visit with Steph. We were able to spend some quality time with Jameson's mom, who we don't see that often, which was awesome.
My parents warned me that there were some foxes they had seen in their backyard. They were concerned that Bedia might run off after them. Well, when she came face to face with one she paused for a split second and then chased after it. Luckily she came back when I called after her. This is her guarding the back corner of the yard where they were nesting.

Aiden meets his cousins
Aiden and I took a trip at the end of August to visit my sister, Stephanie, and her family. Aiden met his cousins Benjamin and Logan and we had a great time. While we were there I helped Stephanie hang pictures in her new house and helped her to make it feel more like home. Aiden also got his first two teeth while we were there. That certainly made for some long nights and not a lot of sleep. Ironically, while Aiden got two teeth in, Benjamin lost his first tooth while we were visiting.
Indianapolis in July
For our annual family trip we headed home to Indiana to visit friends and family again this year. We had a wonderful time introducing Aiden to the family and showing him off to our friends. Aiden and I flew out a week early and then Jameson and Bedia drove in to meet us.
